Frequently Asked Questions

Sports Physiotherapy: Your questions

Is an order for sports physiotherapy required?

For reimbursement by the basic insurance (LAMal), a medical prescription is required. Without a prescription, you can consult at a private rate.

Is sports physiotherapy reimbursed?

On medical prescription, it is covered by the basic insurance (LAMal), after deduction of the deductible and the co-payment. Some supplementary insurance policies cover additional benefits.

When will I be able to resume sports activities?

It depends on the injury, the pain, and your recovery. We decide on a return based on functional tests, then we organize a gradual resumption to limit the risk of recurrence.

How long is a session?

Most often 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the care provided and your goals: pain, return to sports, performance or prevention.

Do I need to be a high-level athlete to consult?

No. We also provide support for recreational athletes and competitive athletes alike, and for anyone who wishes to resume physical activity in good condition.
